We're on the lookout for an experienced and driven Financial Accountant to join our energetic finance team at our Global Head Office in Canning Vale. This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm) where you'll be working closely with our General Manager
- Finance, and playing a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across our financial operations. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting responsibilities while contributing to process and system improvements that drive business success. Your day-to-day will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, journals, and reconciliations.
- Investigating variances, analysing data trends, and delivering clear insights.
- Completing month-end processes, including bank and intercompany reconciliations.
- Preparing timely and accurate board and compliance reporting.
- Supporting annual financial statement preparation for the Group.
- Reviewing financial practices, recommending improvements, and implementing audit recommendations.
- Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Assisting with process improvements, systems enhancements, and documenting key policies. We're after someone who not only brings technical expertise, but also aligns with our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication, and Continuous Improvement. To be successful, you'll have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and progress/completion of CA or CPA is essential
- Robust knowledge of financial statements, with excellent attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Good tax knowledge to manage in-house compliance.
- The ability to prioritise, manage competing deadlines, and perform in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with NetSuite (advantageous but not essential).
