Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are looking for a detail-driven Test Analyst who takes pride in getting things right – and making sure everything works exactly as it should before it reaches our customers. You will be working on the development of a cloud-based information management system. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that new software features and ongoing improvements for our internal cloud-based information management system meet design expectations and are ready for release. You will be hands-on with testing, identifying issues, and working closely with our Software Developers and Business Analysts to keep quality high and surprises low. You will also support our customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), helping them navigate changes, understand updates, and feel confident in new releases. Clear communication is a big part of the role – you will be translating technical fixes and updates into something meaningful and easy to understand. Behind the scenes, you will help update the Production and Development environments, ensuring everything runs smoothly across the board. Reporting to our Test Manager and collaborating daily with a close-knit team of Business Analysts and Software Developers, you will be in a full-time role with flexible working hours based at our office in Bentley. Your attention to detail and analytical mindset will directly contribute to the quality, reliability, and overall success of our system. Your day-to-day will revolve around: Software Testing You will be hands-on with testing from day one – getting to know requirements and functional designs inside out and making sure what we build delivers on them. Review and understand requirements and functional design documents Create clear, well-structured test documentation for each feature Test software to ensure it meets design expectations and is release-ready Collaborate closely with Software Architects, Business Analysts, and Software Developers where required Spot inconsistencies, edge cases, and opportunities to improve UX Clearly document and communicate bugs, issues, and findings Test merged development branches ahead of releases Investigate and validate issues reported by customers Testing Management You will help keep testing environments organised and running smoothly, while supporting customers through the testing process. Allocate development branches to the appropriate environments Support customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), helping them feel confident with new releases Release Management You will play an important role in getting updates out the door – smoothly and with minimal disruption. Prepare and document deployment plans, and working with the Project Manager for approval Communicate upcoming releases to users, clearly outline what is changing Coordinate and carry out updates to Production environments What Are We Looking For? Minimum 1 year of experience in software testing Sharp eye for detail with a logical, organised approach Clear communicator – both written and verbal Comfortable working solo and as part of a team Able to manage your time and follow things through Confident working with documentation Solid understanding of software systems and databases Experience working with customers or supporting UAT A problem-solver who suggests fixes, not just finds faults Genuinely keen to learn and improve Nice to have: Experience with production releases We understand that not everyone is confident when applying for roles.
