Your New Role As the Warehouse & Inventory Manager, you will lead the day-to-day warehouse, dispatch, and inventory operations within a busy food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, stock integrity, DIFOT performance, and team leadership. You will play a critical role in supporting the transition to Epicor ERP warehouse systems, improving operational processes, and ensuring the smooth movement of inventory to support both production schedules and customer requirements. Key stakeholder groups will include Production, QA, Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and Senior Leadership. Operational Responsibilities
· Lead day-to-day warehouse operations including receivals, dispatch, stock control, inventory accuracy, and cycle counting
· Manage inbound and outbound inventory movements to support production and customer delivery requirements
· Drive the implementation and adoption of Epicor ERP warehouse processes and systems
· Ensure effective FIFO stock rotation and shelf-life management across all inventory categories
· Monitor inventory ageing, short-dated stock, damaged stock, stock discrepancies, and warehouse variances
· Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping, presentation, and storage practices
· Coordinate warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure safe operational practices are followed
· Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, food safety standards, and company procedures Leadership & Continuous Improvement
· Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to build a solid and high-performing team culture
· Drive warehouse accuracy, DIFOT performance, and operational KPI achievement
· Work collaboratively across departments to improve operational efficiency and inventory visibility
· Develop and improve warehouse procedures, reporting, workflows, and operational controls
· Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and dispatch functions
· Contribute to operational planning and process optimisation as part of the broader ERP transformation journey Your Profile As an experienced Warehouse & Inventory Manager, you bring strong operational leadership capability combined with a hands-on approach to warehouse management. You are comfortable leading teams in fast-paced environments and have a strong understanding of inventory control, stock management, and warehouse operations within manufacturing or FMCG settings. You are organised, proactive, and capable of balancing operational priorities while driving continuous improvement outcomes. Your communication style allows you to work effectively across multiple departments, influence positive change, and maintain strong working relationships throughout the business. You will ideally bring
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in warehouse operations, including leadership or management responsibility
· Strong people leadership and team management capability
· Experience operating within ERP systems, with Epicor experience highly regarded
· Background within food manufacturing, FMCG, or fast-paced warehouse environments preferred
· Strong understanding of inventory management, FIFO stock rotation, batch control, and shelf-life management
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with attention to detail
· Current forklift licence
· Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
