Heavy Duty Auto Electrician – Specialist (City of Canning)

Auto Electrical Specialist for Machine Rebuilds – reporting to the Workshop Supervisor. Location: Welshpool, WA, AU Remuneration: $193,000 – $199,000 per annum with superannuation and a bonus scheme dependent on experience. Roster: 5 days on, 2 days off, 10.5 hours per day – 2 weeks of days followed by 1 week of nights (inclusive of a 30‑minute meal break). Responsibilities
- Accountable for the completion of all aspects of rebuilds and repairs across a varied fleet of Caterpillar machines.
- Ensure that all replacements and repairs are carried out with the intention of rebuilding customer CAT fleets to extend their life and improve productivity.
- Mentor and coach lesser‑skilled technicians and apprentices while working on trade‑related activities. Qualifications & Skills
- Auto Electrician trade qualification with a minimum of 5 years post‑trade experience.
- High level of mentoring and leadership experience (leading hand/supervisor experience).
- Air‑Conditioning Licence.
- Advanced diagnostic skills and ability to interpret repair & fault‑finding using guides (CAT SIS).
- Experience with CAT Dealerships and traditional CAT fleet (OHT, Grader or Loader).
- High competence on mobile low‑voltage electrical & Air Conditioning systems with advanced schematics skills. Advantages
