Duty Manager (East Cannington)

Here at Panorama Luxury Apartments we are in need of a recent Duty Manager who is able to provide cover several times a year for the Building Manager's leave and whenever other staff need cover. As such the work load will vary each week from a small number of hours to full time, while the work itself varies around the same core tasks to differing degrees. The successful applicant will initial be placed on a casual contract with an option to transfer to part time after 6 to 12 months.

**What does the job entail?**
- Monitor building security cameras and remove those without permission to be there from the property.
- Follow up on resident complaints when they are addressable, eg performing minor cleans or correctly making internal reports about maintenance issues.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure they receive the building resources that they require to complete their tasks.
- Make bookings for the leisure center facility.
- Perform pool tests and to take appropriate action if the tests highlight concerns.
- Inspect building systems and infrastructure to ensure safe and healthy function.
- Enforce building policies where required.
- Encode new security access devices.
- Greet residents and visitors as they arrive to ensure their present needs are met.

**What is the required experience?**
- Experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of security systems, both in terms of CCTV and RFID/wireless access, is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and office software, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc. is also required.
- Valuable organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills are mandatory. All 'clients' are residents who live in the building or otherwise own property within it so must be treated with the utmost respect, and they must feel heard.
- You will be working alone for the most part, so good initiative and problem solving abilities are a must.
- The work load can change each day, so the ability to adapt rapidly to changing situations is required.

**What is the work environment like?**

Panorama Luxury Apartments is a quiet 18 floor residential apartment building in East Perth. It's managed by a small team under the direction of an elected Council of Owners. While it is quiet on the outside staff are expected to perform a set series of basic tasks each shift to maintain that quiet nature. Said staff will typically arrive on-site and depart at the end of their shift without seeing another member of the crew, so there is freedom to determine your own speed, as long as the work is complete by the end of the shift. For the most part the expectation is to be a friendly, helpful face for residents to come to with minor concerns. Days where you will be asked to cover for the Building Manager vary from standard Duty Manager shifts in the scope of the tasks required, but not in the nature of said tasks. All skills are transferrable between the positions with the exception of some of the more detailed activities.

**Who would this role suit?** This position would be perfect for someone who needs extra work but is comfortable with a small amount of hours on the slower weeks. Those with other commitments that make switching to full-time for cover when required will encounter issues fulfilling the obligations of this position.

Pay: $30.00
- $45.00 per hour
