Club Operations Manager – Proserpine Golf Club

About the Club Proserpine Golf Club is a vibrant regional golf facility offering competition golf, hospitality services, member events, corporate golf days and strong community engagement. The club continues to evolve operationally and commercially, with a focus on improving member experience, strengthening financial performance, modernising branding, and growing its role within the Whitsunday community. Position Details Full Time Position Commencement date: Early July 2026 (negotiable for the successful applicant) Flexible working hours in line with management responsibilities Approximate 38-hour working week (flexible), with weekends and events required Competitive salary package based on experience and qualifications About the Role Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Club Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the club, including: Liaising with the Club Golf Professional regarding golf operations and competition management Bar and hospitality operations Staff leadership and rostering Financial oversight and reporting Sponsorship and business partnerships Functions, events and corporate golf days Marketing, branding and social media direction Member engagement and customer service standards Strategic growth initiatives and operational improvements This is a hands-on leadership position and is not solely an administration or operational management role. The successful applicant will also be actively involved in bar operations, clubhouse service and the day-to-day running of the venue when required. The successful applicant will be expected to provide strong leadership while maintaining a visible, approachable and professional presence throughout the club. About You The successful applicant will demonstrate: Strong leadership and communication skills Previous golf industry experience (essential) Experience in hospitality, sport, venue or club management Ability to lead teams and build a positive workplace culture Solid organisational and financial management capability High-level customer service and member engagement skills Initiative, professionalism and reliability Confidence working with committees, sponsors and stakeholders A modern mindset toward marketing, branding and club growth Willingness to work hands-on within clubhouse and bar operations Current RSA certification is essential, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
