About the Role This role is far more than a traditional estimating position. You will lead the estimating and pre-construction function of the business, working closely with the senior leadership team, operations teams and clients from initial engagement through to project handover. The role includes
- Estimating and tender management
- Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)
- Scope development and methodology planning
- Design coordination and buildability input
- Contract and commercial review
- Value engineering and cost optimisation
- Client and stakeholder engagement
- Leadership and mentoring of junior commercial / pre-construction team members within the department This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and commercial side of plumbing and wants to be involved in challenging industrial and process based projects. Key Responsibilities
• Lead the estimating and tendering process
- Develop scopes, methodologies and pricing strategies
- Coordinate pricing inputs from suppliers and subcontractors
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation
- Identify commercial, contractual and design risks
- Provide buildability, design and value engineering input
- Support contract negotiations and commercial clarifications
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure successful project handovers
- Manage and improve estimating systems, processes and workflows
- Participate in client meetings, ECI workshops and design discussions About You We are looking for someone with:
- Strong plumbing/hydraulic industry experience
- Experience in estimating commercial or industrial plumbing projects
- Design coordination or hydraulic design exposure
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams
- Strong organisational and problem-solving capability
- Experience in D&C; or ECI environments highly regarde
• Strong working knowledge of software platforms including simPRO, Groundplan, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Ideal backgrounds may include
- Senior Plumbing / Hydraulic Estimator
- Plumbing Project Manager with estimating experience
- Hydraulic Design & Estimating professional
