Senior Financial Accountant (Mount Gravatt)

About the Prospect Humero Recruitment Partners are partnering with a well-recognised organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for a 4-week contract based in Brisbane's southern suburbs. This is a great short-term opportunity for an experienced finance professional available immediately to step in and provide critical support ahead of year-end, ensuring reconciliations and reporting are in strong shape before close. The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will hit the ground running and take ownership of key reconciliation and year-end preparatory activities. This role requires someone with strong technical capability who can integrate quickly into an existing finance team and deliver with minimal handholding. Key Responsibilities
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances ahead of year-end
- Ensure general ledger integrity and accuracy of financial data
- Support the finance team with year-end close preparation and reporting
- Identify and escalate any discrepancies or issues requiring resolution
- Provide general finance support to the broader team as required About You
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards
- Proven experience in a Senior Financial Accountant or similar role
- Strong reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to integrate quickly into a team and deliver results in a short timeframe
