Lead Electrical Designer (Mount Gravatt East)

About the Role Reporting to the Group Electrical Manager, you will lead the electrical drafting team to design innovative electrical and electronic control systems, methods and devices. As Lead Electrical Designer you will be tasked with the following:
- Design and/or supervise the design of electrical schematic drawings, enclosures, bill of materials and termination schedules of control systems for the purpose of manufacture and/or sub-contract for Heat and Control Food Processing, Packaging and Weighing equipment.
- Provide training and technical support of the electrical CAD package (Promis.e) across the Electrical Engineering Group.
- Through innovative implementation and continual improvement of the electrical CAD package, strive to reduce engineering time and increase schematic creation efficiency, and at the same time, reduce errors.
- Work to maintain schematic creation timeframe and deadlines within estimates at all times.
- Implement and maintain an electrical CAD package (Promis.e) across the Electrical Engineering Group.
- Work with other team members to develop and maintain a harmonious team environment. About you To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Completion of an apprenticeship in the trade of Electrical Draughtsman or an Associate/Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering coupled with extensive relevant experience in electrical drafting.
- Extensive experience in the implementation and maintenance of Promis.e.
- Extensive design/drafting experience of electrical control systems.
- Significant experience leading a design team.
- Understanding of multidiscipline requirements.
