To strengthen this impact, we are seeking a capable and motivated Human Resources Officer to join our growing HR team on a permanent full-time basis, based in our Upper Mount Gravatt office. Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a hands-on operational role with a robust focus on HR administration, documentation, coordination and compliance. You will play a key role in supporting core people processes across the organisation, ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping, and providing high-quality administrative support in a highly regulated, industrial environment. This role offers exposure to employment relations matters and is well suited to an emerging HR professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven setting. About the Role As Human Resources Officer, you will support the full employee lifecycle with a strong emphasis on HR administration, compliance and process coordination. You will also assist the HR Manager in the coordination of employment relations matters, ensuring processes are well-documented and compliant. This is a wonderful opportunity for an emerging HR practitioner to be supported through coaching and mentoring by an experienced HR leader, while being part of a collaborative and high-performing team. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering day-to-day HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including coordinating documentation, tracking process milestones, and responding to manager requests
- Providing administrative and coordination support to the HR Manager on employment relations matters, including preparing documentation for probation reviews, performance discussions, and disciplinary processes
- Preparing and issuing employment documentation, including contracts, variations, and formal correspondence
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment processes, from advertising through to onboarding and compliance checks
- Assisting with payroll-related queries, including award interpretation and rostering considerations under the SCHADS Award
- Maintaining accurate HR records and compliance registers (including licences, clearances, and mandatory training) to ensure audit readiness
- Supporting HRIS administration, data integrity, reporting, and continuous process improvements
- Contributing to employee engagement initiatives and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Monitoring and supporting compliance with Fair Work legislation, National Employment Standards, internal policy requirements and NDIS regulatory obligations This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to balance responsiveness with compliance in a dynamic service environment. - 1–3 years’ experience in a generalist HR would be ideal however we are keen to hear from potentially new graduates or those who may still be studying.
- Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and exposure to interpreting modern awards (knowledge of the SCHADS Award desirable)
- Experience coordinating recruitment processes end-to-end or demonstrated capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Exposure to payroll processes and award application would be valuable
- Experience maintaining compliance registers and employee documentation
- Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
- Well developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite and experience utilising HRIS systems would be well-regarded. To Be Successful, You Will Demonstrate

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (or working towards) preferred
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain
- Queensland Driver’s Licence
