Our sites include the Lake MacLeod operations near Carnarvon and the Eramurra Project, 55km outside Karratha. About the Role To support our next phase of growth, we are seeking Production Operators to join our team at Lake MacLeod, supporting the safe and efficient harvesting and movement of bulk salt across our production operations. This role is responsible for supporting the safe and effective processing and handling of bulk salt as part of a specialised production team at Lake MacLeod. Working closely with internal teams and departments, the position plays a key role in coordinating bulk material handling and salt production activities to ensure the effective site operations and output targets are met. The role requires strong operational expertise across salt harvesting and production functions, with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. The role is residential based in Carnarvon and is an even-time roster (3D, 3N, 6X). Key Responsibilities A full position description will be provided at the interview.
- Operate a range of mobile plant for salt and gypsum production
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on mobile and fixed plant (e.g. roller changes, washdowns)
- Conduct pre-start checks and equipment inspections
- Follow operational and safety work instructions to ensure safe and efficient production
- Support the loading and stockpiling of bulk salt and gypsum in line with production schedules
- Monitor production processes and report and equipment faults or hazards
- Assist with the coordination of bulk material handling to meet daily output targets
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with site housekeeping standards
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and ongoing training as required
- Work collaboratively within a team environment across rotating shifts
- Comply with all site environmental requirements and procedures What We Are Looking For To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills, attributes and experience:
- Previous experience in the resources, mining, agriculture or heavy industry sector
- Current WA drivers licence (HR or MC highly desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to operate mobile plant and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a close-knit team
- A proactive approach to safety with a solid understanding of site safety procedures and requirements
- Ability to follow work instructions and operational procedures with attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a reliable and consistent work ethic Experience with any of the following equipment is desirable but not essential:
- Double / triple configuration road trains
- Graders
- Track dozers
- Large loaders
- Agricultural / industrial harvesters
