This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension. The Role As a Secondary Generalist Teacher, you will ideally possess the capacity to provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and differentiated to cater for a range of learning needs. You will ideally have the ability to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and have an excellent understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. We are seeking teachers who have robust classroom management and skills to engage students successfully. The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to teach one or more learning areas. The successful applicant should ideally be motivated and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning environment; based on high accountability and sound expectations to ensure all students achieve their maximum potential. Teachers and school administrators employed at Carnarvon Community College in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $4 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
