About the role As the Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with the training and development you need to be successful in your role. The Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, our customers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everything that makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries and making sure our equipment is ready for hire.

This role requires you to;
- Delivering and collecting equipment across our branch network
- Safely loading, securing and restraining equipment
- Working closely with schedulers to keep deliveries and pickups running smoothly
- Operating a range of vehicle classes depending on equipment requirements
- Using handheld devices for scanning, pickups and deliveries
- Pitching in with basic branch cleaning, maintenance and assisting customers when required About you
- Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Building & construction, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance.
- A valid MR driver's licence is required
- This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
- Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility, load restraint, mass and dimension requirements
- A safety-first mindset and pride in doing the job properly
- Basic tech skills (mobile devices, scanning, email)
- Good time management and the ability to adapt when schedules change
- Forklift Licence (preferred, not essential) Join our team
