Out of School Hours Care Educator (Castle Hill)

Samuel Gilbert Out of School Hours Care is a well-respected centre located in Castle Hill. We are on the lookout for an experienced Educator to join our team on a long term basis, someone who wishes to make a career out of OOSH.

If you have good work morals, demonstrated initiative, an understanding of the importance of programming and practice, and you are passionate about working with primary-aged children and their families we would love to hear from you.

**About The Service**:

- Located in the grounds of Samuel Gilbert Public School in Castle Hill, with a supportive School P&C.;
- A not-for-profit community based and purpose-built service, that has been operating for 35 years.
- Medium to large service licensed for 60 children per morning session and 160 children per afternoon session.
- A service supportive of paid professional development.
- A service offering above award wage and split shift allowance.
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

**About the Position**
- Part time or full time position working both before (7am
- 9am) and after school care (2pm
- 6pm).
- 30-38 hours per week, negotiable, with the opportunity for growth and flexibility with hours/shifts for a permanent position.
- Permanent positions are working on the floor, with the potential for permanent educators to also take on admin hours and join our Leadership Team.
- Facilitate intentional and spontaneous experiences that align with the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework.
- Actively supervise and engage with children.

**What You Will Need**:

- Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care, Diploma in Out of School Hours Care, Diploma in Children’s Services, Early Childhood trained or equivalent.
- A Working with Children Check and National Police Check or be willing to obtain.
- Hold a current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HTAID004) certificate or be willing to obtain.
- Child Protection accredited qualifications or be willing to obtain.
- Knowledge of and experience working with the National Child Secure Standards.
- Previous experience in working in Out of School Hours Care or the Early Childhood Sector.
- Previous experience in leadership positions is desired, along with a sound ability to communicate professionally.
- Food Handler Basics Training or willing to obtain
