**Job Description: Advanced Construction Labourer**

**Position**: Advanced Construction Labourer **Hourly Rate**: $38 per hour **Experience Required**: 5+ years **Certification**: White Card

Key Responsibilities:

- **General Labour Tasks**: Assist in a variety of construction activities, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting skilled trades.
- **Site Safety**: Follow all safety protocols and ensure the job site is kept clean and hazard-free. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- **Tool Operation**: Operate hand and power tools as needed, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
- **Demolition Work**: Help with site demolition tasks, ensuring safe handling and disposal of materials.
- **Building Materials Handling**: Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment for various construction projects.
- **Assisting Skilled Trades**: Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople on site by providing manual labour and ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
- **Site Setup & Clean-Up**: Help with initial site preparation, including setting up barriers, scaffolding, and the general organization of the work area. Assist in cleaning up and ensuring tools are properly stored at the end of the day.
- **Adherence to Plans**: Follow detailed instructions and building plans to ensure construction is completed on time and according to specifications.

Qualifications:

- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a robust background in general labour work on construction sites.
- **Certification**: Current White Card certification (mandatory).
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to handle physically demanding work in various weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and stand for extended periods.
- **Safety Focused**: Knowledge of construction safety protocols and experience in maintaining a safe work environment.
- **Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively in a team, taking direction from supervisors and collaborating with colleagues.
- **Reliability**: Strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and dependable job performance.

Preferred Skills:

- **First Aid Certification**: Having a first aid qualification is a plus.
- **Vehicle License**: A current driver’s license (preferred for traveling between sites).

Work Environment:

- **Location**: Various construction sites as assigned, potentially in remote or urban locations.
- **Hours**: Full-time, with overtime opportunities based on project needs.
- **Physical Demands**: Ability to lift heavy items and work in all weather conditions.
- **Safety**: Adherence to all company and site-specific safety procedures is a must.
