About the Roles We are seeking appliation for multiple Senior Fire Protection Engineer roles. As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer you will be responsible for designing, engineering, mentoring, and overseeing the delivery of fire protection systems design across a range of projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards while delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. This role offers significant opportunities for career growth within a rapidly expanding company. Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Design fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, smoke detection, alarms, and more, using industry-standard software like AutoCAD, REVIT, HYENA and 3DBIM.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire safety systems into building designs. Coordinate with project managers to ensure designs are delivered on time and meet client specifications.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all designs comply with Australian standards, codes (e.g., AS1851, BCA), and client requirements. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, reports, and calculations.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their fire protection needs and provide expert advice on solutions. Present design concepts and address inquiries throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks to ensure all systems are designed and implemented correctly and in adherence to safety standards. What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience designing and engineering fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, and smoke detection systems.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, HYENA, 3D BIM, Excel and other industry-standard design software.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of Australian codes and standards (e.g., AS1851, BCA) and fire protection engineering principles.
- Client-Facing Experience: Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with clients and project stakeholders.
- Certifications: FPAS accreditation, RBP, or Fire Safety Designer qualifications.
- Additional Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team. Pay: $125,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year Advantages:
