Library Assistant Permanent Part Time (Castle Hill)

**Gilroy Catholic College** at Castle Hill is looking for a **Library Assistant** to be responsible for facilitating access to information and resources to support teaching and learning, as well as maintaining effective and efficient organisation of resources and equipment.
- Week 1 Monday and Tuesday from 8:15 am until 3:15 pm
- Week 2 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 am until 3:15 pm

In this role, you will provide assistance and support to staff and students, and promote an environment where the library and learning are valued and appreciated.

More specifically you will:

- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Catholic Education
- Have a high level of customer service skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate initiative to enhance our library’s services and programs or lead special projects
- Have a high level of oral and written communication skills
- Have library cataloguing skills and knowledge of current library technological practices
- Have the computer skills required to use a range of programs, with the ability to create material to support information literacy programmes in the school
- Have the ability to use library and information systems, databases and other technology to support staff and students
- Be willing to undertake ongoing professional learning and training
- Have an interest and capacity to work with emerging technologies

Qualifications and Experience:

- Demonstrated relevant experience
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Library and Information Services may be an advantage
