Accountant (General) (Bella Vista)

Goodridge Advisory Pty Ltd Multiple positions available The Junior Accountant role at Goodridge Advisory supports the delivery of professional accounting and taxation services to a portfolio of individual and business clients. The position involves preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and related compliance work, while applying accounting principles and Australian taxation law under appropriate supervision. BenefitsTask & responsibilities Financial Reporting and Accounting:
- Prepare financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Maintain and review general ledger accounts.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank, loan, and payroll accounts.
- Assist with year-end adjustments such as accruals, prepayments, and depreciation. Taxation Compliance:
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals and entities.
- Assist with BAS and IAS preparation.
- Calculate tax positions including GST and PAYG.
- Prepare supporting documentation for tax compliance. Analysis and Problem Solving:
- Review financial records and identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and reconcile variances.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff. Client Support and Communication:
- Liaise with clients to collect information and clarify transactions.
- Assist with preparing client correspondence. Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate working papers.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax legislation. Workflow and Practice Support:
- Manage workloads to meet deadlines.
- Participate in training and development. The role reports to Senior Accountant or Manager. Work is reviewed with increasing autonomy over time. Qualification & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of financial accounting and Australian tax basics.
- Solid attention to detail and communication skills. About Company
