Detailer / Estimator – Dural
- Frame & Truss Join a long-standing, third-generation Sydney family business supporting the building and construction industry since 1960. At Hardware & General, you’ll be part of a trusted supplier known for technical expertise, strong industry knowledge, and exceptional customer service across a wide range of building products. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating MiTek 20/20 Frame & Truss design software
- Reviewing plans, bills of quantities, and project documentation
- Preparing accurate quotes and cost estimates
- Managing and tracking the quoting process via a Quote Register
- Liaising with customers regarding estimates and project requirements
- Assisting with site measures when required
- Ensuring compliance with pricing procedures and margin expectations
- Monitoring plans through to production for accuracy and structural integrity
- Maintaining strong communication with detailers, suppliers, and sales teams
- Supporting continuous improvement of estimating and quoting processes What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in detailing or estimating (essential)
- Robust knowledge of residential timber construction (preferred)
- Experience with MiTek 20/20 or similar design software
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced computer skills including Excel
- Strong communication and customer service ability
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Trade qualification in timber systems or similar experience highly regarded What You’ll Get:
