Mobile Plant Operator Priest Bros Orchards Pty Ltd Harcourt

Priest Bros. Orchards Pty Ltd., a fourth-generation family-owned agricultural company in Harcourt North and Pakenham, Victoria, Australia, founded in 1880 and dedicated to the cultivation and production of high-quality apples, is seeking a qualified full time Mobile Plant Operator.

The position offers a salary of $76,515 AUD per year plus superannuation.

The Mobile Plant Operator will be responsible for the following tasks:

Prepare and set up farm machinery and equipment for daily tasks in the orchard areas.

Adjust machine settings, such as speed, height, and implement depth, to accommodate different soil conditions and crop needs.

Keep machinery in positive working condition by cleaning, checking fluid levels, and performing minor maintenance and repairs.

Accurately complete work records and equipment log to track usage and maintenance.

The Mobile Plant Operator is required to have the following qualifications and experience:

A relevant AQF Certificate II or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience (at least 20 hours per week); OR

At least 2 years of relevant experience (at least 10 hours per week) AND at least 2 years post-qualification experience.

Ideal background and skills:

Experience within the Agriculture/Horticulture industry is highly desirable.

Have excellent communication and time management skills

Robust problem-solving skills

Ability to operate/repair farm plants to prepare the lands for planting, ripping and cultivating.

Pay: $76,515.00 per year
