About the Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our Accommodation Services team. You’ll assist clients with high support needs, including those using wheelchairs and requiring medical support, helping them live with dignity and independence.
The role involves personal care, daily living support, and promoting autonomy within shared living environments.
Benefits:
- SCHAD’s Award Level 2 Pay rates from $34.58 – $37.73 (base rate) or $43.23
- $47.16 (casual rate)
- Versatile roster with shift work, weekends, public holidays & sleepovers
- Fitness Passport access for you & family (Eligible criteria applies)
- Ongoing training & professional development
- Annual flu vaccination Duties:
- Provide personal care and daily living support
- Assist with manual handling and use of aids
- Support clients with complex needs and medical requirements
- Foster independence and inclusion in shared living environments
- Build positive relationships with clients and families
- Manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience supporting high-needs disability clients
- Confidence in manual handling and use of aids
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for varied shifts and rostered work
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word & Outlook)
- Current Driver’s Licence, Working With Children Check, NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check Desirable:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of NDIA processes About Us:
