This is a contract role and hybrid work opportunuty, Please find the JD Job Title: Solution Architect – Open-Source Technologies Location: [Krakow / Poland] – 2 days weekly from office About the Role: We are seeking a Solution Architect with solid expertise in open-source technologies to design, guide, and deliver robust solutions for our organization.

You will work closely with our Transformation Lead, engineering, operations, and business teams to architect systems that leverage open-source software and ensure alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
· Design end-to-end solutions using open-source technologies (e.g., Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, Kafka, etc.).

· Lead architectural decisions for recent projects and modernization initiatives.

· Evaluate, select, and integrate open-source components and frameworks.

· Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.

· Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and technical roadmaps.

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

· Engage with open-source communities and stay current with emerging trends.

· Ensure solutions meet business, security, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills Experience:
· Proven experience designing and implementing solutions with open-source technologies.

· Hands-on experience with Linux and open-source application stacks.

· Familiarity with scripting, automation, and configuration management tools.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

· Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design.

· Ability to lead technical discussions and influence stakeholders.

Requirements Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a plus.

· Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

· Contributions to open-source projects (please share your GitHub/GitLab profile).

· Experience with monitoring, logging, and security tools
· Knowledge of data platforms (NoSQL, RDBMS, streaming).

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
