Civil Plumbers and Pipelayers (Queensland)

About Newlands Celebrating 25 years in business, Newlands is a family-owned company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil and commercial construction projects across Toowoomba and surrounding regional areas. Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Civil Plumbers and Pipelayers to join our civil construction team on a permanent, full-time basis. These are hands-on roles working across a variety of civil infrastructure projects including sewer, stormwater and water main installations. About the Role Working closely with supervisors, operators and site crews, you will be responsible for delivering underground services safely, efficiently and to specification. Key responsibilities include:
- Installation of sewer, stormwater and water main infrastructure
- Laying and installing DCL, poly, PVC, concrete and mild steel pipes
- Civil plumbing and drainage works across commercial and civil projects
- Trench preparation, bedding, jointing and backfilling
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and levels
- Installation and maintenance of stormwater pits and pipework
- Working safely around plant and equipment
- Ensuring all works comply with WHS and QHSE requirements About You You are an experienced civil tradesperson with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality on site.
- Trade Qualification in Plumbing (for plumbers)
- Proven experience in civil pipelaying and underground services
- Experience installing sewer, stormwater and water infrastructure
- Strong understanding of trench safety and pipelaying practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- White Card and current Driver’s Licence
- Solid work ethic and commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team Desirable tickets and experience include:
