Civil Construction Manager $210K–$230K + Super + Bonus + Vehicle | Southeast Queensland | Developer This is an opportunity to step into a senior civil leadership role with a well-established, privately owned developerdelivering townhouse and subdivision projects across Southeast Queensland. With more than 25 years of consistent delivery, this business operates a fully integrated model, managing land acquisition, approvals, civil works, building and sales in-house. As part of a planned growth phase, they are now seeking an experienced civil professional to lead their civil construction function and support the next stage of the business. This role will suit someone looking for stability, autonomy and long-term career progressionrather than a short-term project appointment. “Great company to work for, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back if they had a position for me.” The Role As Civil Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for all civil construction activities across the group. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll oversee safety, delivery, commercial performance and team leadership across multiple concurrent sites. Over time, this role is expected to develop into a General Manager–level position, with access to longer-term incentives and potential participation in project performance. Key Responsibilities Safety & Compliance
- Own and lead safety outcomes across all civil operations
- Maintain and enforce WHS policies and training programs
- Ensure incidents are reported, investigated and addressed appropriately Project Delivery
- Oversee planning, scheduling and execution of multiple concurrent civil sites
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to AR standards
- Drive quality assurance, systems compliance and continuous improvement Financial & Commercial
- Manage budgets, forecasting and cost control across the civil program
- Secure favourable supplier and trade agreements
- Monitor production costs and approve variations or overruns where required People & Leadership
- Lead and develop the civil team, setting cadence, standards and culture
- Allocate resources effectively across sites
- Provide performance feedback, mentoring and development pathways
- Ensure timesheets, leave and reviews are managed in line with procedures The Projects
- Subdivision and civil infrastructure works delivered in-house
- Developments typically ranging from 40 to 400 dwellings per site
- Works include bulk earthworks, roads and pavements, sewer, stormwater, plumbing and electrical
- A secured four-year pipelineacross Greater Brisbane, with strong activity in Ipswich and Logan
- Annual civil turnover currently ~$20M, with planned growth toward $30M You’ll be supported by modern plant and equipment, including Trimble and GPS systems, and long-standing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. About You You will be a grounded, practical civil construction professional with robust leadership capability and a hands-on approachand demonstrate:
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior civil construction role
- Proven experience managing multiple subdivision or civil sites concurrently
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and sequencing
- Solid commercial acumen across budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Engineer or supervisory background with strong people leadership skills
- A genuine commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
