The role Due to a strong pipeline of work and major national opportunities, our National Dams & Hydropower team is seeking an Engineer – Dams to join our Brisbane office. You will work closely with senior specialists across local and ANZ projects, gaining exposure to complex and high‑profile dam and hydropower assets. This is an excellent opportunity to build technical depth, expand your professional network, and grow your career with a global leader. Key Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers across conceptual through to detailed design of water dams
- Participate in dam safety reviews, inspections, and condition assessments
- Ensure all analysis and design work meets relevant technical standards, client requirements, and SMEC quality systems
- Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary team members and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, timely project outcomes About You
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or higher qualification)
- Minimum 2+ years’ post‑graduate experience across a range of dam types
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and ANCOLD guidelines
- A positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to take initiative
