Head Of Student Services & Wellbeing Part Time Queensland

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated leader to join our leadership team as Head of Department, Student Services (locally known as Head of Year).

This role will lead key work within our Wellbeing Hub teams that are guided by our Wellbeing Framework to lead case management, tiered student support, attendance, engagement and school-wide consistent practices.

The successful applicant will work closely with leaders, staff, families and external agencies to strengthen student support systems and build staff capability.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.5FTE), 25 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of creative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.

Where requested, prepare all data returns for the Principal.

Provide management and engagement strategies including induction activities of recent arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of recent arrivals.

Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
