Fifo Chefs (Brisbane) (Queensland)

Role Summary ESS is seeking experienced Chefs to work full-time at our Eureka Creek Village, Goonyella Road, Moranbah, Central Qld. The role involves a 14‑day on / 7‑day off roster, 10‑hour days, with salary of $***** + super. Locals will drive in/out; non‑locals will fly in/out from Brisbane with flights, accommodation and meals provided. Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees.
- Prepare buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib Lunch, or Dinner and Desserts.
- Ensure OH&S; compliance, adhere to safe work practices and food handling procedures.
- Maintain all catering controls and keep waste to a minimum.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards.
- Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development. Qualifications
- Qualified Chef with a minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Bulk catering or buffet experience is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and excellent time management.
- Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and ability to manage compliance.
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
