Grounds Maintenance Operator – Edinburgh Location: SA – RAAF Edinburgh Type: Full time, Permanent Job Summary Multiple opportunities in grounds maintenance operating plant equipment, performing general labouring duties, and assisting tradespeople and site teams. Responsibilities
- Preparing and clearing land for construction, agriculture, or infrastructure projects.
- Operating plant and construction machinery safely and efficiently.
- Loading, transporting, and handling materials and equipment.
- Performing manual labour including digging, lifting, and trenching.
- Supporting tradespeople and crews with general site tasks.
- Conducting equipment checks and reporting faults or hazards.
- Identifying utility lines and managing soil conditions.
- Setting up and cleaning work areas to maintain site safety.
- Following site plans, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Participating in toolbox talks and contributing to a safe work culture. Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate mowers, blowers, compactors, and other landscaping equipment.
- Capable of lifting, digging, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Assisting with fencing, paving, retaining walls, and irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with OH&S; procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively on‑site.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Relevant licences, white card and first aid requirements are highly regarded. Perks
