The General Manager
- Architecture is responsible for leading TechnologyOne's Architecture function and translating strategic direction into executable outcomes across R&D.; This role ensures business strategy, product strategy, and technology execution are aligned through a clear and scalable architectural vision that supports the continued growth of TechnologyOne's products and platforms. Reporting to the GGM
- Enterprise Architecture & Governance, you'll provide both strategic and operational leadership across Architecture partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to embed strong architectural discipline into planning, prioritisation, and delivery. Leading a team of Principal Architects and working across a broader architecture community, this role will shape the future architecture landscape of TechnologyOne while building a high-performing, influential, and collaborative practice. What you'll be doing:
- Lead and operationalise the enterprise architecture strategy in alignment with TechnologyOne's broader product and technology vision and CTO strategy
- Own the execution of enterprise and domain target state architectures, including roadmaps and transition plans
- Ensure architectural consistency, quality, scalability, and alignment across products, platforms, and major R&D; initiatives
- Establish strong engagement models between Architecture, Product, and Engineering teams to improve collaboration and delivery outcomes
- Provide architectural assurance across strategic programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment to principles, standards, and non-functional requirements
- Guide architectural trade-offs, prioritisation decisions, investment planning, and solution design approaches
- Oversee the development and maintenance of architectural artefacts including current state, target state, and transition documentation
- Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns, driving pragmatic adoption aligned to business outcomes
- Act as the escalation point for complex architectural decisions, dependencies, and enterprise-wide technical risks
- Lead architecture governance practices that improve delivery quality, resilience, efficiency, and long-term maintainability
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Principal Architects and senior architecture leaders
- Create clarity around capability expectations, career pathways, and architecture standards
- Foster a strong architecture community of practice that promotes collaboration, consistency, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Coach senior architects to operate as influential technical leaders across R&D;
- Partner with People & Culture on succession planning, capability frameworks, engagement initiatives, and talent attraction strategies
- Role model cross-functional collaboration and strategic leadership aligned to TechnologyOne's culture and values
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance architecture practices, governance, efficiency, and delivery outcomes Your Skills You'll bring deep enterprise architecture experience, strong leadership capability, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience leading an Enterprise Architecture function within a large-scale enterprise software or SaaS environment
- Strong background across enterprise, solution, and platform architecture, including cloud and hybrid environment.
- Demonstrate experience in design and delivery of enterprise grade AI based products
- Sound knowledge of, and experience with, ERP and related software systems.
- Proven ability to translate strategic direction into executable architecture outcomes and technology roadmaps
- Experience leading and developing senior technical professionals and high-performing architecture teams
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Commercial and pragmatic decision-making capability, balancing architectural quality, delivery velocity, risk, and cost considerations
- Experience working within complex, federated, or matrixed delivery organisations
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, standards, design patterns, and enterprise-scale technology ecosystems
- Ability to influence strategic investment, prioritisation, and technology direction across the organisation Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Postgraduate qualifications or professional architecture certifications are highly regarded
