Join NTRO's Structures team to deliver key bridge and transportation structure asset projects for clients across private and public sectors. This role is suited to individuals with experience in the design, inspection, construction and management of transportation structures. It is a full-time position, based in our Melbourne or Brisbane office, and is intended for a graduate and early career level engineer.
Main duties of the role Contribute to applied research and implementation of solutions to transport infrastructure clients. Assist in the delivery of key bridge and other transport structural asset projects, including undertaking bridge inspections in Australia, Recent Zealand and abroad. Develop skills and capabilities to become an expert in structural engineering for transportation infrastructure. Consider safety in all aspects of the projects and strive to improve safety wherever possible.
Skills Tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Structural). 1‑3 years’ experience in a related field. Desirable: structural and condition assessment/rating skills backed by sound knowledge of industry codes and standards. Desirable: experience in structural design and/or structural assessment, as well as asset valuation and remaining life determination. Outstanding verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Experience in writing technical reports. Desire to continue professional registration: MIEAust, RPEQ/RPEV, CPEng, NER. Must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence.
