Role Scope
The Electrical Commissioning and Start-Up Technician is responsible for delivering a high-quality, consistent, and competent service in accordance with project/company requirements, standards, and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. The role is under general supervision and involves a variety of commissioning, troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Responsibilities Ensure compliance with site hazardous material safety rules and all safety aspects in execution of work. Ensure procedures and permits are followed safely. Commission, troubleshoot and repair MCCs, VSDs, distribution panels, motors, lighting and small power systems. Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards. Work within OEM guidelines. Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and troubleshoot autonomously. Observe and supervise vendor staff working on or near the facilities as required. Carry out cause and effect testing. Attend system walk-downs. Complete rectification works as required. Close out punch items. Liaise with other discipline teams to undertake commissioning and start-up activities safely.
About You Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role. Cert III in Electrical Craft and proven expertise. EEHA Certification. Current First Aid Certificate and LV rescue qualification. Nationally accredited training in working at heights (desired). Current Full or Restricted Queensland Electrical Licence.
