About This Opportunity
Join The University of Queensland as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within a collaborative and high-performing research environment. The role focuses on advancing predictive breeding technologies and building a strong research profile in quantitative genetics and plant breeding.
Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance the EasiGP software pipeline and conduct team-oriented research on ensemble-based genomic prediction methodologies, including analysis of large-scale Arabidopsis datasets. Publish high-quality research outcomes, secure competitive funding, and engage in translational research initiatives. Supervise and mentor Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, fostering professional growth and researcher capability. Manage supervisee and research staff performance, providing coaching, feedback, and resolution of workplace issues in line with University policies. Demonstrate team-oriented leadership and citizenship through active participation in service, committee, operational, and partnership activities across the University and broader community.
About You Completion or near completion of a PhD in the relevant discipline. An emerging research profile in the field. Published in reputable refereed journals and presented at conferences. Demonstrated success in obtaining external research funding. Experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions to external activities.
