Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support major outage works in the power generation sector, with a strong focus on Generator and Turbine Maintenance. The role will initially be office‑based in Brisbane, supporting the planning phase prior to site mobilisation. The planning phase commences in mid‑May, followed by on‑site mobilisation in late‑June and a 2/2 roster. Benefits

- Support planning and execution of the Turbine & Generator outage, including work packaging, sequencing, and interface coordination.
- Provide engineering oversight for Heater 8 rectification works, including defect resolution, repair methodology, and quality inspections.
- Manage and coordinate valve replacement activities (isolation valves, control valves where applicable).
- Liaise with maintenance, operations, OEMs, contractors, and outage planners.
- Review and manage job scopes, ITPs, lifting studies, and risk assessments (JHAs/SWMS).
- Monitor progress, address technical issues, and support schedule recovery actions.
- Ensure compliance with site safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Participate in commissioning, handover, and close‑out documentation. Requirements
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong experience in power generation, heavy industrial plants, or comparable brown‑field environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting major outages, particularly Turbine & Generator systems.
- Exposure to heat exchangers/feedwater heaters, pressure part repairs, and valve works desirable.
- Strong contractor coordination and site execution skills.
- Solid understanding of outage safety requirements, isolation management, and quality control.
- Ability to work effectively in a high‑pressure, schedule‑driven outage workplace.
