As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our diverse catering operations. Working within the Parliamentary precinct, you'll support a team that delivers exceptional dining experiences
- from fine dining at Strangers' Restaurant to casual dining and large-scale event catering.This is an prospect to be part of a team committed to sustainability and sourcing local produce in a unique environment supporting Queensland's Parliament.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene standards in all catering areas.Wash crockery, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.Sanitise catering equipment (ovens, deep fryers, cool rooms, food processors).Remove waste and clean floors, walls, and shelving.Order, restock, and organize kitchen supplies.Assist with moving catering supplies and equipment throughout the precinct.Provide direction to casual and agency Kitchen Porters.We are looking for:Experience working in a similar role.Strong communication and teamwork.Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and food hygiene practices.Understanding of catering operations, food storage, and inventory control.What We OfferAt Queensland Parliament, you'll work at the heart of Queensland's democratic process.
