As a **Café Assistant**, you’ll help create a friendly, relaxed café space where residents, their families, and staff can connect and enjoy quality refreshments. You’ll bring warmth, energy, and a passion for great service to every shift, contributing to the overall wellbeing and lifestyle experience of those in our care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver warm and attentive customer service to residents, visitors, and staff
- Greet guests, take orders, and handle transactions with professionalism and care
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including barista-made coffee and tea
- Assist with light food preparation and food service
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the café, including tables, counters, and equipment
- Support menu updates to reflect resident preferences and dietary needs
- Monitor inventory and restock café supplies as required
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
- Manage cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately and securely
- Engage in friendly conversation with residents

**About You**:

- Previous experience as a **Barista** is a plus!
- Robust **customer service** and communication skills
- Comfortable **multi-tasking** between coffee making, food service, and customer engagement
- Background in hospitality or aged care (highly regarded)
- ** Minimum Food Safety Certificate**:

- Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to work
- Excellent **interpersonal skills** with a friendly and approachable manner
- Genuine interest in enhancing the daily experience of our residents
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
