About the role

As the Business Development Manager (Major Accounts) at Kelm Hire, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding the company's presence in the local market. This is a full time, permanent position based in Cheltenham, VIC. You will play a crucial role in identifying and securing high-value opportunities with key industry players, contributing to the overall success of the organisation. What you'll be doing
- Proactively prospecting and qualifying new leads to build a robust sales pipeline
- Developing and executing tailored sales strategies to engage and convert major accounts / New business development
- Conducting in-depth market research to identify and capitalise on emerging trends and opportunities
- Negotiating and closing complex deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborating cross-functionally with the marketing and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Providing regular reports and insights to the senior leadership team on sales performance and strategic initiatives What we're looking for
- Proven experience in new business development, preferably within the sales industry
- Strong track record of securing high-value deals with major clients
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders
- Demonstrated expertise in market analysis, competitor research and strategic planning
- Proficient in CRM systems and data-driven decision making
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or a related field are highly desirable
