Role Overview Hands-on factory role assembling metal and plastic products for the irrigation, mining, and civil industries. You’ll assist with assembly, testing, quality checks, and preparing products for dispatch in a supportive team environment with full training provided. Assembly Assistant Chermside, QLD $34/hr + Super + Overtime Mon–Thurs: 7:00am–3:30pm | Fri: 7:00am–1:00pm Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Weekly Pay About the Role We’re seeking a reliable and hands-on Assembly Assistant to join a leading manufacturer supplying products to the irrigation, mining, and civil industries. In this role, you’ll be working with metal and plastic components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your Duties Will Include:
- Reading and following job orders and technical drawings
- Preparing and assembling metal and plastic parts to specification
- Conducting quality checks, pressure testing, and leak testing
- Marking, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch or powder coating
- Maintaining a clean, protected, and organised workspace What We’re Looking For
- No experience required — just a great attitude and willingness to learn
- Hands-on and mechanically minded
- Experience in sheet metal or steel work is highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work well in a team
