Electrician (Wandoan)

We are seeking an Electrician to support the daily operations and maintenance of our renewable energy projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant performance. - Maintain and review OEM and existing project documentation to ensure scheduled activities align with requirements; establish check sheets, inspection documentation, and specific plans, manuals and procedures for the O&M; phase.
- Review and optimise schedules, check sheets and plans to improve activities and processes.
- Monitor SCADA for faults, alarms and events, and analyse performance data to optimise generation and minimise downtime.
- Compile work activity reports and other data/records used for reporting.
- Organise electrical work and general activities for on‑site personnel.
- Conduct MV/HV operations: develop, review or participate in HV switching activities, coordinate and perform maintenance on MV and HV assets.
- Respond to alarms, perform fault finding, diagnosis and repair of equipment, including on‑call roster participation.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections, electrical inspections and tests as outlined in preventative maintenance schedules.
- Manage stock of spares, conduct audits, and ensure correct storage.
- Respond to incidents, outages and emergencies within training and competency limits.
- Assist with procurement, maintenance/calibration of tools and equipment.
- Implement Vena Energy’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and support the development and review of HSSE documentation, risk registers, SWMS, permits, audit findings, workshops and investigations. Qualifications
- Completion of Year 12 education.
- Electrical Licence (A Grade / Unrestricted).
- Valid Class C Manual Driver’s Licence.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working on an operational solar asset or in an industrial/mining environment with fault‑finding responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including manuals, drawings and procedures.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Safety‑conscious mindset.
- Effective task management and prioritisation.
- High level of situational awareness in operational environments.
- Preference given to locally based applicants and those willing to relocate; relocation support available.
