About the RoleWant a casual role where you can genuinely make a difference? Bridgewater PCYC is looking for a reliable, safety-focused and community-minded Casual Bus Driver (LR Licensed) to support the transport of children and young people attending our programs, including Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), excursions, school pick-ups and community activities. This role is more than just driving. You’ll play an important part in helping young people access safe, supportive and engaging programs in This is a casual position with flexible and varied hours based around operational needs. Work may include
- School pick-ups and drop-offs
- Before school, after school and vacation care transport
- Excursions and community activities
- Split shifts, on-call work and occasional after-hours or weekend requirements
- Vehicle safety checks and transport-related documentation
- Supporting a safe, calm and welcoming environment for children and young people Hours will vary and may suit someone looking for flexible casual work, semi-retired applicants, school-hour availability, transport professionals, or community-minded individuals wanting meaningful extra work. - Comfortable engaging respectfully with children, young people and families
- Flexible and responsive to changing operational needs
- A strong communicator who works well in a team environment
- Community-minded and committed to child safety Essential Requirements Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain prior to commencement: ✔ Current LR (Light Rigid) Licence or higher ✔ Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania) ✔ Current Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) Licence ✔ National Police Check ✔ Clean driving record ✔ Safeguarding / child safety training (or willingness to complete) Highly Regarded
• Experience transporting children or community groups
- First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of local schools and surrounding areas
