Description
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026. Located in the northern suburb of Alkimos with sweeping ocean views, Alkimos College opened in 2020 with our foundation Year 7 cohort, providing local intake area students with access to an exceptional secondary education in world‑class learning facilities. Stage 1 buildings include administration, lower school student services, library, gymnasium, fitness centre, food studios, cafeteria, IT labs, technologies workshops, general classrooms, science laboratories, and nature play area. Shared oval and community facilities with the City of Wanneroo are available via the adjacent Halesworth Park precinct. Stage 2 (rolled out in 2024), includes a performing arts centre, lecture theatre, senior school student services centre and general classrooms. Role Alkimos College is ideally seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent, and enthusiastic Digital Technologies teacher, with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will be committed to promoting and fostering student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated. The role involves delivering high quality digital technologies teaching and learning programs that are diverse and varied to meet the needs of our students. You will be well versed in the Western Australian Curriculum for Technologies and able to develop and deliver courses to students of varying ability levels. As a teacher of Digital Technologies, you should be confident in your skills and abilities to encourage student passion and appreciation for digital technologies, relating learning to real‑world situations and industry. The ideal candidate will adopt a college‑wide instructional framework based on explicit teaching and instructional skills, strategies and tactics, be committed to personal and professional growth, embrace collaboration, and actively participate in extra‑curricular activities (after‑school Academies). - Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
