An appointment to Alkimos College presents an exciting prospect to join the staff of an innovative, state-of-the-art secondary college which is committed to building a culture of high performance and high care for students and staff. Located in the northern suburb of Alkimos with sweeping ocean views, Alkimos College opened in 2020 with our foundation Year 7 cohort, providing local intake area students with access to an exceptional secondary education in world‑class learning facilities. Stage 1 buildings include administration, lower school student services, library, gymnasium, fitness centre, food studios, cafeteria, Information Technology (IT) labs, technologies workshops, general classrooms, science laboratories, and nature play area. Shared oval and community facilities with the City of Wanneroo are available via the adjacent Halesworth Park precinct.

Stage 2 (rolled out in 2024), includes a performing arts centre, lecture theatre, senior school student services centre and general classrooms.

The Role

The successful applicant will ideally be a positive and passionate teacher of Science, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful applicant should use their qualified knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Science curriculum, from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning, through to senior secondary courses. In Years 7 to 10 we have a Gifted and Talented program, academic extension classes, general classes and focus classes (learning support).
