Operations Manager Residential & Commercial Fencing Location: Perth, WA Company: Surefence WA Employment Type: Full Time Lead Operations for One of WA's Growing Fencing Companies Surefence WA is a well-established fencing contractor delivering high-quality fencing solutions across residential developments, commercial projects, and government works throughout Western Australia. With multiple installation crews, a strong reputation for quality, and continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to lead our field operations, improve efficiency, and support our next stage of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a rapid-paced construction environment and enjoys coordinating people, projects, systems, and resources to achieve exceptional outcomes. About the Role Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance of the business, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead our installation teams, manage scheduling of work, procuring materials, liaising with customers, improve operational systems, and drive productivity across all projects. Key Responsibilities Operations & Project Delivery
- Oversee daily operations of all fencing installation projects
- Manage installation schedules and workforce allocation
- Coordinate materials, plant, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues
- Maintain strong communication with clients, site supervisors, and developers Team Leadership
- Lead and support installation supervisors and crews
- Conduct regular toolbox meetings and performance reviews
- Recruit, onboard, and develop field staff
- Foster a high-performance and accountability culture
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Safety & Compliance
- Maintain WHS compliance across all sites
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Ensure SWMS, JSA's and safety documentation are completed
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Promote a strong safety-first culture Business Improvement
- Develop and improve operational systems and processes
- Monitor KPIs and reporting metrics
- Improve crew productivity and installation efficiency
- Assist in strategic planning and business growth initiatives
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase profitability Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction operations, project management, or a similar leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of fencing materials components across a variety of fencing types
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities
- Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Current WA Driver's Licence Highly Regarded
- Experience in fencing, civil, landscaping, construction or related trades
- White Card
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, or similar
- Experience working with residential developers and commercial builders
- Knowledge of Colorbond, pool fencing, aluminium, chainmesh and security fencing systems What We Offer
