The role involves developing individualised care plans and ensuring their effective implementation through direct care and mentoring others. This casual position offers flexibility in working hours. Skills:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 years of post-grad experience
- Experience in mental health is desirable
- Solid clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience in training and mentoring staff
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- High-level organisational and time-management skill
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines related to disability support.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, including reflective practice and development of self and others.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications, Word, Excel, Email, Internet, and CRM software. Responsibilities:
- Develop individualised care plans for participants with complex needs.
- Provide direct care including subcutaneous injections, bowel care programs, catheterisation, wound care management, tracheostomy care, and gastrostomy tube feeding.
- Ensure safe and effective implementation of care plans.
- Mentor and train Disability Support Workers on nursing duties.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimise participant outcomes. Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum 3 years of post-grad experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
