We now have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced **Leading Hand** at our **Clayton** branch, working Monday to Friday.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Service Supervisor you will lead the workshop service team with the day to day operations and safety requirements.

This position is great for a developing leader with potential career pathways into Service, Branch and Operations Manager positions within the business.

**Daily responsibilities will include the following**:

- Carrying out service, repairs and maintenance of Cat equipment
- Lead and mentor our apprentices and service technicians
- Technical troubleshooting and fault-finding, including diagnostics
- Scheduling work and managing service work orders
- Providing quality customer service at all times

**ABOUT YOU**

You still love being on the tools but want to progress your career with a pathway into management. Your strong heavy machinery and earthmoving background with excellent diagnostic skills and technical knowledge will see you succeed.

**To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes**:

- A fully qualified Diesel Technician with prior experience leading a team of technicians
- The ability to mentor, motivate and coach apprentices and technicians
- Understanding of computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Committed to delivering superior customer service
- Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
- Effective time management and ability to work unsupervised
- A strong commitment to safety, health & workplace procedures
