Parts Inventory & Procurement Manager (Clayton)

**ABOUT THE PROSPECT**

Reporting to the Parts Inventory & Logistics Manager, we are looking for a **Parts Inventory & Procurement Manager **to oversee the management of our parts inventory across the business, based at our Clayton Head office Branch.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong inventory & procurement professional with a strong background in inventory control, procurement, and a deep understanding of parts and systems.

**Your key responsibilities will include the following**:

- Manage the total inventory control function for the entire company.
- Management of the William Adams parts inventory vendors.
- Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives and projects with a focus on improved efficiency and effectiveness
- Work cross functionally with the purchasing team on all inventory related tenders
- Working closely with Caterpillar Global Parts & Service Logistics Division
- Provide direction, coaching and motivation to the parts inventory, planning and expediting team

**ABOUT YOU**

**You will ideally have the following skills, experience & attributes**:

- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business administration or related field
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a parts operation, inventory management logistics role
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to address complex logístical challenges
- Excellent communication skills, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems (DBS)
