Description
The role This is a newly created position with realfunction ownershipprimarilyresponsible for growing and strengthening Caravan & Residential Parks Victoria's membership base. The role leads the recruitment, retention and engagement of tourist and residential park member businesses as well as our industry supplier members, ensuring a compelling value proposition is established and promoted to each of our member and non-member segments. In addition, the role supports the delivery of our member communications. The association prides itself on well crafted, timely, interesting and relevant communications to promote the association’s successes and services so members are well informed and front of mind when members consider their Caravan & Residential Parks Victoria membership and opportunities to engage with us. We expect members to benefit from a consistent, high-quality experience with their association from first contact and this role will play a very significant role in that outcome. About Caravan & Residential Parks Victoria Established in 1964, Caravan & Residential Parks Victoria is the peak industry body for tourist and residential parks across Victoria. We support our members through advocacy, industry leadership, training, legal guidance, and other practical services. What you’ll own Membership Growth and Retention:
- Establish, track and achieve membership recruitment targets based on agreed KPIs which will be reviewed and reset annually
- Confidently initiate and maintain contact with targeted park and industry supplier businesses via formal correspondence, phone, email, social media and in‑person engagement
- Develop and deliver compelling membership pitches to our different current and prospective park member segments and industry supplier members
- Identify risk indicators for member churn and implement proactive retention actions that increase satisfaction, loyalty and long‑term member value
- Lead continuous improvement of the various membership value propositions based on market feedback
- Propose changes and additions to the member service offering to enrich engagement
- Maintain strong, trusted relationships with members to ensure the organisation remains relevant and indispensable
- Establish and manage the end‑to‑end member journey, from onboarding through to resignation or renewals Communications and Campaigns
- Draft and implement relevant and timely communications that inform, educate and/or entertain members as a key retention activity tool
- Develop and implement an annual member communications plan
- Create prospectuses, proposals, and digital content that clearly communicate membership value and support recruitment and retention\
- Develop and implement communications campaigns that support major industry moments such as our annual conference, awards gala dinner, major training days and campaign launches Why this role is different This is a new role, giving you the chance to shape strategy and execution while building on strong existing foundations

- Experienced in membership, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, business development, or a similar role focused on growth and retention
- Comfortable reaching out to prospective members and starting conversations that build strong relationships
- A solid storyteller, both in writing and in person
- Comfortable working toward growth and engagement goals and using initiative to achieve them
- Digitally capable across CRM systems, eDM platforms, AI tools, and social media
- Comfortable working independently on the road and collaboratively with the team in the office
- Commercially astute and genuinely people-focused
