Location Seaton Place – a brand new state‑of‑the‑art 128‑bed residential aged care facility located in the heart of the coastal community of Cleveland, with ample free parking and transport options. The Role This is a part‑time role with salary packaging and tax benefits up to $15,900 plus $2,650 entertainment per year. The Food Services Assistant (also known as Care Services Assistant) plays a pivotal frontline carer role focusing on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person‑centred care and support that matches each resident’s needs and preferences in everyday practice. Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.
- Providing care and support aligned with residents’ preferred daily routines with a strong focus on meal choices and individual nutrition.
- Considering allergies and food intolerances.
- Enhancing the overall dining experience and promoting resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect.
- Assisting residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences.
- Preparing and setting up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences.
- Actively engaging with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes.
- Using empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience.
- Maintaining accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
- Assisting with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework.
- Assisting with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required. Qualifications & Success Criteria
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- A compassionate and caring attitude.
- Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded).
- Willingness to take direction from others.
- Reliability and shift flexibility.
- Good time‑management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Valid working rights in Australia (passport, birth certificate, etc.).
- Completion of a police check. Advantages
