We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride. About the chance As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.
- This relief casual role commences on $34.45 / hour for approximately 3 months, increasing to $36.83 hour + 12% Superannuation. Junior rates apply to those under 21 during training.
- Extensive, supportive (paid) training on commencement, Monday
- Friday, for up to 8 weeks, approx. 3 hours / day on a rotating roster
- Becomes “on call” after training, shifts may be scheduled in advance, or you may be called in at short notice, there is no guarantee of hours or minimum hours / week
- You will need to be fully available, Monday
- Friday, between 6 am – 5.30 pm, (the majority of shifts will be early morning)
- As shifts will be rostered across the market, you will need to be willing and able to travel to Cleveland, Bulimba, Cannon Hill, Capalaba, Wynnum, Beenleigh, Carindale, Loganholme and Springwood, please consider this before applying You’ll be
- Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace.
- Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes.
- Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance. About you
- You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously.
- You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community.
- Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.
