Boat and Jetski Trainer (Cleveland)

About the role We are seeking a passionate Boat and Jetski Trainer to join our team at Boat Coach in Cleveland, Queensland. This part-time or casual role will involve training individuals and groups on the safe and responsible operation of boats and jetskis. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable and educational experience on the water. What you'll be doing
- Providing comprehensive training on boat and jetski operation, including safety procedures, navigation, and handling techniques
- Conducting both theoretical and practical training sessions for customers of all skill levels
- Ensuring all training equipment, including boats and jetskis, are maintained in excellent condition
- Assisting with the coordination and delivery of various water-based activities and events
- Promoting safe and responsible boating and jetski practices to all customers
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any queries or concerns What we're looking for
- Relevant qualifications and extensive experience in boat and jetski operation and instruction
- Coxswain Grade 2 or Higher
- we can assist with obtaining this qualification
- Statements of Attainment for the following units of competency or a statement from your RTO/university stating the qualifications you have, meet or exceed the 3 units of competency: o TAEDEL301
- Provide work skill instruction o TAEASS402
- Assess competence o TAEDEL401
- Plan, organise and delivery group-based training

- Strong knowledge of maritime laws, regulations, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively teach and engage with customers
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- A passion for the water sports industry and a desire to share your knowledge and expertise
- A current Queensland driver's licence and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends What we offer
