Disability Support Worker (Therespite Care for (Devon Meadows)

Job description

Nurse4U is looking for a team of Disability Support Workers for Home care shifts for a 24-hours roster.

We are looking for dedicated and reliable staff members who are versatile in their thinking and courageous in their actions—people with compassion and empathy to work with the disabled community.

Casual shifts where you can have the flexibility to work as per your availability!

Support details: Personal Care (I.e., continence aid).

Complex care

Daily household/domestic activities

Community Access (I.e., Assisting with outings, appointments, etc.)

Meal preparation

Shifts: PERMANENT ONGOING

Monday to Sunday
- 24-hour rostered shifts. Flexibility to work AM, PM or Night Shifts.

**Requirements**:

- drive own reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license.
- must be able to communicate fluently in English
- experienced in working with people with different needs, home care, personal care
- must have completed either a certificate 3 or 4 disability or similar qualification
- previous in-home care support experience, mental health experience, complex care
- confident with manual handling, Peg feeding, bowel care

- ⁠Must be driving & have a current valid Australian driving license
- ⁠Current Police Check
- ⁠Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- ⁠Flu & Covid Vaccination Certificates
- ⁠NDIS Workers Screening Check
- ⁠Excellent clinical documentation skills
- ⁠Excellent communication skills
- ⁠The ability to build positive relationships with your team and clients
- ⁠The right to work in Australia
